Even hurricanes can’t slow PracticePanther, the Miami based Practice Management Software Provider!

All jokes aside, the organization was already releasing new features and integrations regularly before taking on their recent investment from Alpine Partners announced at this year’s ABA TECHSHOW.

In just a few short months, the fastest growing platform in the space lives up to their reputation by delivering not one, but FIVE new full-featured integrations, as well as expanding the capabilities of their core platform’s automation tools.

With tens of thousands of lawyers using PracticePanther in over 170 countries worldwide, here’s a quick rundown of what’s new. And by the time you are done reading this…even more updates may have been released!

Integrations and the PracticePanther (KISS) API

When the team decided to focus more of their development time on integrations they were committed to doing it right. Which meant re-building their API from the ground up. Aptly naming it KISS, short for “Keep it Stupid Simple”. An approach that put them in a position to bring on integration partners faster than ever before. Now boasting hundreds of integrations, add-ins, and partnerships, with the help of integrating with Zapier.

One of the new darlings of the legal tech industry, Lawmatics combines the power of intake, CRM and marketing automation tools into one beautifully simple platform. The two software solutions are a perfect pair for each other with Lawmatics driving more business to the front office of the law firm while PracticePanther supports the back of the house delivery. Many of PracticePanther’s members chose the solution due to the long list of ways it can help automate a law firm, so you can get more done in less time. The integration with Tali was a no-brainer for law firms who regularly use their Amazon Alexa or Google Now devices for everything they can! Read more about billing your time with Tali here.

LawToolBox – Court Deadlines and Rules-Based Calendaring

Never miss a deadline again, with the PracticePanther and LawToolBox combo! The already calendar friendly practice management system now schedules and syncs deadlines for almost every jurisdiction in the US.

Panther Payment Plans – Powered by LawPay

Law Firm Payment Plans are increasing in popularity, both as a way to convert more clients and offer subscription-based legal services. Now law firms can securely save a client’s credit or debit card information on file. Then, you can use the card to automatically deduct a fixed amount every day, week or month for regular invoices or evergreen retainer payments.

Powerful Plug-Ins – Outlook and Gmail users rejoice!

The average attorney creates, receives and exchanges over 30,000 documents or messages per year. Trying to keep everything organized in one place is a challenge no matter how organized you are.

PracticePanther invested a tremendous amount of time refining what are now two of their flagship add-ins, one for Gmail and one being released for Outlook any day now. “You will soon be able to work from one central app, without ever having to leave to lookup client info, track time, and more. It’s easier than ever to save client contact information, attachments or emails directly to a case file.” says co-founder David Bitton.

Flat Fee Billing

One of the most requested features to date, that none of the other practice management programs have, according to Bitton, is flat fee billing. Instead of adding billable time entries or expenses, you will also be able to add billable flat fees. Now you can generate invoices for flat fees, and also run much more detailed reports on the different types of fees. For example, which billing attorney should get credit for each fee. You can even track how often flat fee discounts were awarded to clients over the year! View a quick tutorial.

Custom Invoice Templates

Law Firm branding, layout and content on bills or invoices is a widely requested feature by all practice management software members. Now you can use different invoices templates for different types of cases and clients. Apply different invoice terms and conditions, payment plans, due dates, invoice themes, and much more at the click of a button! If you have special terms of service, payment options, or anything else that you want to use only for a certain practice area, now you can do that. Check them out here.

Secure IP Address Logins Only

Security has always been PracticePanther’s most important consideration. As a world’s first for practice management software, PracticePanther has just announced that you can now limit your employees to login only from the IP address and location you define. For example, everyone, or only certain employees, will only be able to login from the office WiFi connection. Ori Tamuz, co-founder and CTO that was in the cybersecurity unit in the army says, “Employees should not be able to access confidential client data over an unsecured WiFi connection. If you’re using another practice management software, any basic computer hacker may be able to steal your login credentials if your employees are logging in using an airport or coffee shop public WiFi connection. This prevents that from ever happening.” Learn more here.
